OV Parents and Community Members,
The Pennsylvania Department of Education announced that they received a waiver from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to allow eligible schools to serve meals to low income students in a non-congregate setting, such as a drive-through or grab and go, during the State issued closure.
The Oswayo Valley School District will serve drive through lunches at the cafeteria loop at the Middle/High School starting Tuesday, March 17th from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. each day. This will be in effect for the length of the 9 days Oswayo Valley would be in session in the 10 days of school closure from Governor Wolf. Lunch is free for all students, including home school, cyber charter, and charter school students. Children from age 0-5 years old are also eligible for the free grab and go breakfast and lunch. The daily lunches served will be peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, vegetable sticks, fruit, milk, and a snack. Menu is subject to change. Documented food allergies will be addressed on an as needed basis.
