Oswayo Valley’s Envirothon team, consisting of Charlotte Austin-Keech, Lauren Hedges, Reese Thompson, Rylee Thompson, and Eva West, competed in the State Championships in Johnstown, PA on Wednesday. After competing in 5 categories, their scores were high enough to score them a 19th place finish out of 65 total teams. The categories and rankings are as follows: Oral Component, 10th place; Aquatic Ecology 30th place; Current Issue, 10th place; Soils and Land Use, 16th place; Forestry, 24th place; and Wildlife, 26th place. The team was advised by Mr. Bruce Kemp and Mr. Craig Moshier.
