The winners of the 11th grade OV Tank contest traveled to Bloomsburg University recently to complete in their annual Husky Dog Pound Competition. To participate in this statewide competition, student teams were required to invent an original product or service, create a prototype, and give a three-minute pitch to a panel of judges.
Out of 199 student teams participating this year, 11th grade entrepreneurs Owen Bryant, Jude Colbey, and Lachlan Tabacheck took 17th place for their invention “The Rake Mate” and won $200 in prize money. Junior entrepreneur Soi Sang Ngyuen took 22nd place with her invention “The Pencil Holder Folder” and took home $75 in prize money. Luke Karr also participated with his invention “The Fence Link Tee” and won a $15 Dunkin Gift Card for his efforts.
