Ms. Caldwell joined the OV staff in July of 2024 and she comes to the Oswayo Valley Elementary School with a decade of middle school classroom experience. She was born and raised in Coudersport, Pennsylvania and graduated from Coudersport Area School District. After high school, she attended Clarion University and earned her Bachelors in Secondary Education, Social Studies and English. She also earned her Masters in Curriculum, Instruction, and Teacher Leadership; a second Masters in Educational Technology (both from Clarion University); and her Pennsylvania PreK-12 Principal Certification from Gannon University.
During her time as a classroom teacher, she taught 7th and 8th grade English at Coudersport High School, as well as 8th grade English at Smethport High School. She highly enjoyed incorporating technology and gamification in the classroom, but more importantly, developing relationships with students and families.
When she is not in school, Ms. Caldwell enjoys reading, volunteering her time on the board for the PA Council of Teachers of ELA (PCTELA), and spending time with her son, Logan, and other family and friends.
Ms. Caldwell says, “I am so proud to be a part of the OV family, and I am excited to get to know the students, teachers, staff, and families of the community. Oswayo Valley is committed to excellence, and I am honored to help continue that vision in this role.”
